- Opal Financial Management was founded in the summer of 2013 by a group of highly experienced financial industry professionals, led by Nicholas Howell. Previously a senior manager with AXA Wealth, Britannia and Halifax – as well as formerly working as an Independent Financial Adviser - Nick witnessed first hand the changes taking place in the financial sector and the removal of advice by a large number of banks from their high street branches.
Understanding this would leave many people without easy access to a range of financial services, Nick seized the opportunity to address this impending gap in the market and, with a commitment to ensure this service remained available to all who need it, he and his team created Opal Financial Management.
From the word go, the company enlisted the services of 2plan wealth management Ltd, an established UK-based support hub for both advisers and clients that provides access via the latest technology to an extensive range of wealth management, retirement, investment and financial planning services.
Once established, Opal Financial Management went on to recruit a team of highly qualified financial advisers and managers and is now aiming to become one of the largest firms of Independent Financial Advisers (IFAs) in the UK.
I have worked in the financial services industry for over 14 years. Before joining Opal Financial Management I worked as a financial adviser for Axa Wealth for eight years and, previous to that, with Alliance and Leicester for six years.
My experience as a financial adviser allows me to relate easily to my clients’ expectations and I pride myself on providing clear and concise information throughout the advice process. I regard myself as honest and dependable and always deliver on my promises.
As an independent financial adviser with Opal Financial Management, I am pleased to be able to research the whole of the market to make the very best financial recommendations to my clients. Because I am not tied to one provider, this allows me to advise on a full range of financial products that include: investments and savings, mortgages, life and personal protection insurance, pensions and retirement planning.
