Goshawk Archers was formed in 2007 and is affilliated to the N.F.A.S.
Field Archery is simulated hunting with the bow and arrow; it is mainly a woodland sport, with targets set at a variety of distances and over challenging terrain. The course consists of a set of targets which can vary from 10 to 40 metres this usually depends on the level of the competition. The targets can be paper or Hessian faces on foam bosses or 3D foam animals such as deer, bears, leopards and even dinosaurs. The competitor has to judge the distance to the target without aid and the scoring areas on the target show if the shot was good or not.
Field Archery is a sport that all of the family can enjoy.
