I deliver mixed level public yoga classes in Bushey, Radlett and Northwood that allow others to develop physical and mental strength, stamina, toning the body and improving overall health and well being.
Group yoga classes involve a warm up, posture practise (asana), breathing exercises (pranayama), meditation and relaxation. This provides an all round class where students can focus on their own individual practice whilst enjoying the benefits of a group energy.
I encourage my students to listen to themselves and do as much as they can and take breaks when necessary. However if students are able to hold postures then I encourage them to utilise their breath to help develop their strength.
Many of the postures are broken down into steps and therefore the student has the choice to take the pose as far as they can. Working in this manner allows the student to creatively and intuitively work through their yoga practise.
During the group session clear concise instructions are given along with adjustments to guide the students through the class.
