Centrally located for the South Devon Beaches, Dartmoor, Exeter and Plymouth, yet only 2 miles from the main A38 expressway with easy access to the estate’s own hidden valley. The farm was the South West regional winner of the Beautiful Farm Award. The two 5 star self-catering cottages are part of an award-winning, architect-designed barn conversion.
The historic Fowlescombe estate is a 470 acre mixed organic farm in the South Devon, with historic ruins going back to medieval times. The views are glorious, the sunsets fabulous. After dusk try star-gazing while you listen for owls and soak up the peace of our hidden valley. During walks on the farm see snowdrops, bluebells, orchids, hares, buzzards, barn owls, deer and much more. You may even spot our resident families of badgers or foxes.
Meet fascinating and friendly farm animals including black Aberdeen Angus, and rare breed Irish Moiled cattle, horned brown Manx, black Hebridean and delightful Portland sheep, pigs, Golden Guernsey goats, chickens and ducks. Lambing is April and May. Help feed the animals, watch Josh work our sheep, go pond dipping, follow farm trails, and much more.
