- At Little Cubs Academy, we help uncover children’s unique strengths and abilities in warm and caring settings that have been carefully designed to help children thrive and reach their full potential. We are a family owned, independent nursery and pre-school group for children from 3 months to 5 years of age, we are open 51 weeks a year, 5 days a week, providing high-quality day care and early years education that will make you wish you were a child again.
We encourage children to be creative, ask questions, and explore the world around them. Play is at the heart of everything we do. We provide the love and care that children need to feel safe, secure and happy because we think that’s the best way to help them learn, make friends, and build magical memories that will last them a lifetime.
Housed in two spacious converted houses with a large garden and terrace, Little Cubs Academy Honor Oak is 2 minutes’ walk from Honor Oak station, and only a 5 minute drive from Forest Hill, Dulwich and Crofton Park. The nursery and pre-school is open from 8am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year, for children from 3 months to 5 years of age. The setting became a Little Cubs Academy in 2018, and as well as purchasing brand new toys, equipment and educational resources, it was completely refurbished with natural, neutral materials and colours to create a calm, warm environment.
The nursery and pre-school’s outside area features a planting and growing area, a mud kitchen and a reading room where children can relax on a bean bag and enjoy their favourite book in a cosy environment.
